The first of the two eclipses will be an annular solar eclipse on April 20, 2023. Lunar Eclipse on October 28, 2023
The second eclipse of the year will be a total lunar eclipse on October 28, 2023. A total lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes through the Earth's shadow, causing the Moon to turn a reddish-orange color. This phenomenon is often referred to as a "Blood Moon."
The total lunar eclipse will be visible across India, as well as in other parts of Asia, Africa, and Europe. The total phase of the eclipse, when the Moon is completely covered by the Earth's shadow, will last for about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
